As of the morning of 19 November, more than 1,274 children in Ukraine have been affected by Russia's full-scale invasion. According to prosecutors, 437 children were killed and more than 837 sustained injuries of varying severity, the Prosecutor-General's Office has said.
It is noted that these figures are not final, as work continues to establish them in places of active hostilities, as well as in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
According to the Prosecutor-General's Office, most children suffered in Donetsk Region - 423, Kharkiv Region - 266, Kyiv Region - 117, Mykolayiv Region - 77, Zaporizhzhya Region - 75, Chernihiv Region - 68, Luhansk Region - 64, Kherson Region - 64, and Dnipropetrovsk Region - 32.
In particular, on 18 November, Russian servicemen shot a family with two children, aged 5 and 14, in their own house in the village of Komysh-Zorya, Zaporizhzhya Region.
On 17 November, a 4-month-old boy died in hospital from wounds. He was wounded during the shelling of the village of Tsyrkuny, Kharkiv Region. It also became known about another dead child as a result of an enemy missile strike on the town of Vilnyansk, Zaporizhzhya Region, on 17 November.
In addition, 2,719 educational institutions in Ukraine were damaged by Russian bombardment, 332 of them were completely destroyed.
