Two newly elected odious members will leave the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, its press service has said.
"Hryhoriy Surkis and Nestor Shufrych will leave the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine," it reported.
It is noted that Surkis, as well as Shufrych, has already informed NOC President Vadym Huttsayt accordingly
Earlier, Suspilne reported that former famous football player Andriy Shevchenko announced his withdrawal from the National Olympic Committee.
"I consider it an honour to work in the NOC, I understand the importance of its development. At the same time, I cannot stay in the committee with such a composition," Shevchenko said.
The General Assembly of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine elected its new president and members.
The new members included Andriy Shevchenko, Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk, Hryhoriy Surkis, Nestor Shufrych, Mykhaylo Brodskyy, Oleksandr Volkov and Liliya Podkopayeva.
