Fake information is being spread in the media and on social networks that Ukraine allegedly exports electricity to the European Union. However, in practice, its export was stopped on 11 October, Ukraine's power grid operator Ukrenergo has said.

Thus, the statements about the alleged export of excess electricity are absolute lies and deliberate disinformation, the company insists.

"The goal of those who spread it is to stir up the society exhausted by power outages and to divert attention from Russian missile strikes, which caused blackouts in Ukraine," the company said.

After a massive Russian missile attack on 10 October, exports were suspended. It is noted that this information can be checked in numerous European open sources, primarily on the official ENTSO-E data platform.

It is noted that all available capacities of Ukrainian generation are currently working exclusively to cover the needs of Ukrainian consumers.
