Russian military continue armed aggression against our country, do not cease strikes on civilian infrastructure. They are trying to keep the temporarily occupied territories, focusing their efforts on deterring the actions of the units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine, engineering equipment of defensive borders and positions in the temporarily occupied and occupied territories of Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Facebook on the morning of the 286th day of the heroic Ukrainian resistance to the Russian military invasion.
In the Bakhmut and Avdiyivka areas, the enemy continues to attack, actively using aviation to support the actions of its ground groups.
Over the past day, units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine repelled the attacks of the occupiers in the areas of Verkhnokamyanske, Bakhmut, Andriyivka, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Kurdyumivka, Krasnohorivka settlements of Donetsk Region.
The enemy does not stop shelling settlements and the positions of our units along the contact line and conducts aerial reconnaissance. It continues to strike critical infrastructure and civilian homes in violation of International Humanitarian Law, the laws and customs of war.
Over the past day, the enemy launched a massive missile attack on the critical and civilian infrastructure of Ukraine. Residential buildings and objects of critical infrastructure in Vinnytsya, Kyiv, Mykolayiv, Odesa and other regions of Ukraine were affected.
The enemy launched 70 Kh-101, Kh-555, Kh-22, Kh-59, Kh-31P and Kalibr missiles on the territory of Ukraine. In total, more than 60 missiles of the invaders were destroyed by air defence units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
There is still a threat of the enemy launching missile strikes on the objects of the energy system and critical infrastructure throughout the territory of Ukraine. Over the past day, the enemy carried out 17 airstrikes and launched 38 MLRS attacks.
In the Volyn and Polissya areas, the situation remains without significant changes, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups have been detected.
The Republic of Belarus continues to support the russian federation's armed aggression against Ukraine, providing territory and airspace for launching missile and air strikes.
In the Siversk area, the enemy fired mortars and barrel artillery at the settlements of Senkivka, Sosnivka, Chernihiv Region, and Homelivske, Manukhivka, Oleksandrivka, Slavhorod, Sumy Region.
In the Slobozhansk area, the enemy continues to keep its troops in the border territories of Belhorod Region. Areas of settlements Volokhivka, Vilkhuvatka, Dvorichna, Krasne, Ohirtseve, Starytsa, Strilecha, and Ternove of Kharkiv Region were shelled by tanks, mortars, and barrel artillery.
The enemy is defending in the Kupyansk and Lyman areas. Fired from tanks, mortars and barrel artillery in the districts of Berestove, Kislivka, Kotlyarivka, Tabayivka, Pischane, Krokhmalne settlements of Kharkiv Region; Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka in Luhansk Region and Makiyivka, Nevske, Terny in Donetsk Region. The enemy used army aircraft for strikes in the area of the Kotlyarivka settlement.
In the Bakhmut and Avdiyivka areas, the enemy is concentrating its main efforts on conducting offensive actions, trying to improve its tactical position. 20 settlements, including Bilohorivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Klishchiyivka, Bila Hora, Druzhba, Avdiyivka, Pervomayske, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, and Novomykhaylivka of Donetsk Region, were shelled by tanks and the entire range of artillery. The enemy struck by combat aircraft in the areas of the settlements of Spirne, Kamyanka, and Maryinka.
The enemy is defending in the Novopavlivsk area. Fired different types of artillery fire in areas of Bohoyavlenka, Vuhledar and Prechistivka settlements of Donetsk Region.
The enemy is conducting defensive operations in the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson areas. It carried out tank and artillery shelling of the areas of more than 16 settlements bordering the contact line, in particular the settlements of Vremivka, Novopil of Donetsk Region, Olhivske, Dorozhnyanka, Zaliznychne, Plavni of Zaporizhia Region; as well as Zolota Balka, Novosilka of Kherson Region and the city of Kherson.
During the past day, the aviation of the Defence Forces of Ukraine carried out 15 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, as well as 5 strikes on the positions of the enemy's anti-aircraft missile systems.
Units of missile forces and artillery of the Defence Forces of Ukraine hit 2 control points, 8 areas of personnel concentration and an important enemy object during the day.
