On the night of 2 January, Russians launched several waves of Shahed drones at the capital's energy infrastructure facilities, Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported on Telegram.
Around one o'clock in the morning, there was an explosion in the Desnyanskyy district of the city. The Presidential Office clarified that the debris of the enemy drone fell on the roadway, and damaged windows in a nearby house.
"A 19-year-old man was hospitalized in the Desnyanskyy district of the capital. As a result of the night shelling of the capital, energy infrastructure facilities were damaged," said Vitaliy Klitschko.
He added that emergency power cuts had been introduced in the city. Heat supply facilities were de-energized. The water supply of the capital continues in the normal mode. Kyiv City Military Administration informed that during the air alert, air defence forces shot down 20 air targets over the capital.
