The number of people wounded in a Russian missile strike on Dnipro has currently reached 60, including 12 children. Five people have been reported killed so far, a deputy head of the presidential office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, has said.

"The Russian missile hit a building with 16 sections and about 1,700 residents. The number of wounded increased to 60, including 12 children. There are 72 apartments in the destroyed section. According to the information from the registration register, there are 100-200 people (about 50 children). These are terrible figures that rescuers are guided by when clearing the rubble," said Tymoshenko.

According to him, the whole house is without electricity, gas, its windows were smashed. More than 1,000 people need to be re-accommodated. Additional makeshift shelters were immediately deployed nearby.

All city, regional services are working and will definitely go on through the night.

People offer temporary housing, help to dismantle the rubble.

In turn, the State Emergency Service reported that rescuers are eliminating the consequences of the Russian attack on a residential building in Dnipro.

As of 20:00, 34 people (including six children) have been rescued.

The damaged and surviving parts of the house are being examined.

Psychologists of the State Emergency Service are working at the scene (25 people have been helped) and two heating points have been set up.

Four canine units of the Rescue Center of the city of Romny have joined the rescue efforts. The dismantling of dangerous structural elements is underway.

In total, more than 340 people and 67 units of equipment are involved in the works, including more than 120 people and 26 units of equipment from the State Emergency Service.
