"Kyiv Region... There is a fire at one of the critical infrastructure facilities. Relevant services are working at the scene. Tentatively, without casualties," he said.

The Deputy Commander of the Ground Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lt-Gen Oleksandr Pavlyuk also said that the sounds of explosions that Kyiv residents heard on the morning of 14 January were not related to any military actions.

"The explosions are not connected with the threat from the air or the work of air defence, or any military actions. If there were a threat, you would have heard an alarm," Pavlyuk added.

He said that the sounds of explosions are used by Russian bot farms to claim that it is the beginning of an offensive from the north. The general noted that there are currently no offensive actions of the enemy from the north.
