Ukrainian defenders, in a video posted by the General Staff of the Armed Forces, called not to believe the fakes of Russian propaganda about the alleged "capture" of Soledar by Russians.

The soldiers said that fierce fighting continues in the settlement, Ukrainian defenders see the movement of the occupiers and properly rebuff the enemies.

"Stop promoting... that Russian propaganda about Soledar, about the withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from it to an indefinite distance. There are fierce battles. Right now. Today, Friday, 13 January. At 14:13," the statement reads.

According to the soldiers, the city is constantly assaulted by Wagner's units.

"There is good news from some of the settlements from which they tried to bypass Soledar, in a part of which intense firefights continue. Ukrainian troops managed to push the enemy back, and it was forced to retreat," said the serviceman.

The Armed Forces urged to trust official information and not to spread propaganda messages aimed at demoralizing soldiers and civilians.

Earlier, the Spokesman for the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Cherevatyy said that the statements of the Russian occupiers about the alleged capture of the town of Soledar in Donetsk Region are not true.
