Russia is preparing for a long-term war, the press service of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate has said.
In particular, Putin's measures to reorganize the Russian economy and military-industrial complex indicate preparations for martial law.
Such measures are aimed at strengthening the potential of the Russian Armed Forces and creating conditions for operations planned at the very beginning of the war, but unsuccessfully implemented by the occupying forces.
The military intelligence notes that Russia's attempts to engage all military resources to continue the war against Ukraine, as well as the recent appointment of the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valeriy Gerasimov, as the new commander of the Russian troops indicate Moscow's preparations for the continuation of a large-scale long-term war.
