Ukraine has the right to destroy facilities in Russia that threaten national security, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council Oleksiy Danilov said in an interview with the Eastern European Agency Report.
"Possessing weapons of our own production, we have every right to destroy objects that pose a threat to our national security. I will give you a simple example. The city of Kharkiv is periodically shelled from the territory of the Russian Federation with S-300 missiles. Do we have the right to destroy these systems located in Russia? Yes, we do," Danilov said.
The NSDC Secretary emphasized that it is not about using Western weapons for this purpose.
"As for the weapons of our own production, we have every right to destroy those facilities that threaten the security of our citizens. We have our own missiles, we have our own systems, we have our own UAVs that can perform these functions," Danilov added.
