The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine believes that Russians will not use aviation en masse on 24 February, the anniversary of the full-scale invasion, said Yuriy Ihnat, spokesman for the Air Force Command, during a telethon.
"Many experts talk about hundreds of aircraft. It's not going to happen. Nobody fights like that, it's not World War II," he said.
The spokesman explained that forty Russian airfields are located at different distances from the border with Ukraine. The grouping of Russian aviation that was at the airfields at the beginning of the aggression remains approximately the same in number, and the lost aircraft are being replaced.
Earlier, Ihnat said that on 23-24 February, non-standard enemy actions and several waves of missile attacks were possible.
