The first battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has completed training with Bradley infantry fighting vehicles in Germany, First Deputy Defence Minister Oleksandr Pavlyuk has said on Telegram.
"The first battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has completed training on the operation of M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles. Ukrainian servicemen were trained to use American IFVs at the US base in Germany," Pavlyuk said.
Bradley was designed to counter Soviet hardware in battles. Ukraine will receive a modernized version of the Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, which are called "tank killers".
The new US military aid package includes 50 American M2 Bradleys. It also provides for the transfer of ammunition for the M2 Bradley, consisting of 500 TOW anti-tank missiles and 250,000 25-mm rounds for the vehicle's automatic gun.
