The Ukrainian serviceman shot by the Russian occupiers after saying "Glory to Ukraine" was a soldier of the 30th separate mechanized brigade, Tymofiy Mykolayovych Shadura, the press service of the Defence Ministry reports.
"Important information! Yesterday, a video of the execution of a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who was shot by the Russian occupiers after he said "Glory to Ukraine!" was published on social networks and in the media. According to preliminary data, the deceased is a soldier of the 30th separate mechanized brigade, Tymofiy Mykolayovych Shadura," the statement reads.
Tymofiy Shadura has been missing since 3 February 2023, after the hostilities near Bakhmut.
The body of the soldier is currently on the temporarily occupied territory. The final confirmation of his identity will be established after the body is returned and the relevant examinations are conducted.
