The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has not yet confirmed reports about the arrival of Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems in Ukraine.

The spokesman for the Air Force, Yuriy Ihnat, said on the air of the telethon that it is necessary to wait for the General Staff to report on this. But it is too early to say that the Patriot system is already in Ukraine.

He said that Ukrainians would be informed about this when the system has already successfully worked on enemy targets.

"Of course, Patriot will be in Ukraine. The decision has been made, and people are being trained. So let's have a little patience and wait for the system to be deployed in Ukraine," he added.

According to Ihnat, the Patriot system is capable of shooting down targets at a distance of up to 150 km, including aerodynamic targets, such as airplanes, helicopters, and ballistic missiles.

"These systems will help Ukraine drive away enemy aircraft that launch missiles," he explained.

On 7 March, Polish Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said that the first Patriot batteries had already arrived in Ukraine.
