The monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (Holy Dormition Kyiv Pechersk Lavra) has until 29 March to vacate the buildings and structures of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra National Reserve.

This is stated in the text of the notice published on the website of the UOC-MP monastery.

The notice came from the acting director general of the National Reserve Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, Oleksandr Rudnyk.

It says that the interdepartmental working group found that the monastery violated the terms of the contract for the use of state property.

"Taking into account the conclusions of the interdepartmental working group and the letter of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine dated 09.03.2023 No. 06/34/2234-23, on the basis of clause 8.1. of the Agreement, the National Reserve warns you that the Agreement is terminated as of 29 March 2023," the document reads.

By this deadline, the UOC-MP monastery must vacate the buildings and structures that are on the balance sheet of the reserve at 11 Lavrska Street and 15 Lavrska Street.

By 14 March, the monastery must also provide a list of its representatives (2-3 people) who will be included in the commission for the transfer of state property.

Earlier, the Justice Ministry was supposed to check the lease agreement for the property of the Lower Lavra to the UOC-MP.
