The Centre for Strategic Communications (CSC) and Information Security reports another information attack by Russia, the press service of the CSC said.

In particular, Russians are using anonymous channels on Facebook to spread ads to discourage Ukrainians.

"According to available data, the campaign to spread lies started on 11 March. The invaders want to undermine the trust of Ukrainian society in the government by manipulating the allegedly lost battle for Bakhmut and the fact that the allies will leave us to fend for ourselves with the enemy," the statement said.

The main messages of the campaign are: "Ukraine has lost the battle for Bakhmut"; "The West does not believe in Ukraine"; "The command of the Defence Forces has already fled", and "the guys are fighting back on their own"; "The US is reducing arms supplies because it has allegedly caught the Ukrainian authorities stealing supplies".

The centre notes that these messages are distributed through newly created pages that have no description or content. Also, poor translation of the text from Russian into Ukrainian can signal a post as part of a Russian information campaign.

The CSC recommends filing complaints about such publications.

Earlier, Polish intelligence also reported that Russian propaganda was trying to use false pacifism narratives.
