The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the Government Priority Action Plan for 2023, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal wrote on Telegram.

"This document will allow us to systematise the work of the Cabinet of Ministers and central executive authorities this year. It also imposes more responsibility on all of us because each item has specific implementers and deadlines. The Government Action Plan consists of more than 500 tasks. These are bills, resolutions, programmes and projects," Shmyhal wrote.

The plan includes the following key areas:

  • Security and defence
  • Integration into the EU and NATO
  • Energy security
  • Restoration of the country
  • Macro-financial stability and business support
  • Veteran policy
  • Safe, accessible and quality education
  • Continuation of decentralisation and regional development
  • Support for citizens in difficult circumstances
  • Effective public administration
  • Science and innovation for development
  • Healthy nation
  • Sanctions policy and the rule of law
  • Environmental protection

On 13 March, the Cabinet of Ministers supported a bill to increase state budget spending on defence and the reserve fund.
