The Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Hayday is resigning from his post, LB.ua has learned from its own sources. He may announce his decision as early as tomorrow.

Hayday's resignation is caused by his appointment as ambassador to Kazakhstan. According to knowledgeable sources, Kazakhstan is expected to approve the appointment of a new ambassador after the early parliamentary elections scheduled for 19 March.

According to LB.ua’s sources, the Presidential Office is considering several candidates from among the military to replace Hayday.

Information about Serhiy Hayday's transfer to Kazakhstan as ambassador appeared in early 2023. He did not confirm this information himself, but noted that he was "ready to work wherever the president sends him". Kazakhstan is an important country for the relations' development, as it has oil, gas, weapons and is attractive in terms of investment. It is known that the Russians actively opposed Hayday's appointment.

It is also known that MP Maksym Tkachenko from the Servant of the People party was considered for the position of the new head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration.
