Russian troops shelled Marhanets in Dnipropetrovsk Region on the evening of 15 March, the Dnipropetrovsk regional prosecutor's office has said.
The Russian attack killed two women and injured five other residents.
Multi-storey and private houses, outbuildings, a shop, and a lyceum dormitory were damaged.
Rescuers and law-enforcement officers are working at the scene.
