Former Motor Sich CEO Vyacheslav Boguslayev has been charged with ordering the removal of helicopter blades to prevent them from being used by the Ukrainian military, the Prosecutor General's Office reports.

The investigation established that at the beginning of the full-scale war, in April 2022, when the Ukrainian military requested the transfer of helicopters for use, the former president instructed the company's employees to hide the documents for the helicopters.

This was done so that no pilots could fly the helicopters without special forms. Moreover, he ordered to dismantle the aircraft: remove the blades from the helicopters and hide them.

The former president of Motor Sich JSC has now been served with a new suspicion of obstructing the legitimate activities of the Armed Forces and other military formations (Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

It was also established that the head of the Department of Foreign Economic Activity of Motor Sich JSC developed a scheme for the supply of spare parts for aircraft engines from the Snizhnyansk Machine-Building Plant, which is located on the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, to Motor Sich JSC.

To circumvent the restrictions, Motor Sich indirectly supplied raw materials in the form of billets to the Snizhnyansk Machine-Building Plant through foreign companies and received from it the manufactured spare parts for aircraft engines produced by Motor Sich.

In this way, he contributed to the activities of the "Donetsk People's Republic" terrorist organisation. He paid money for its benefit - the so-called "taxes" and "customs payments".

He was served a notice of suspicion of facilitating the activities of a terrorist organisation (Article 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

A few weeks ago, journalists published recordings of negotiations between Boguslayev, who was arrested for high treason, and the Russians. Boguslayev was doing business with the occupiers despite their shelling of Motor Sich.

On 22 October, the Security Service of Ukraine detained Boguslayev and the head of the company's foreign economic activity department for high treason. It was reported that the offenders had set up transnational channels for the illegal supply of wholesale consignments of Ukrainian aircraft engines to the aggressor country.

Subsequently, the Security Service published audio recordings of Motor Sich's president's telephone conversations, confirming his cooperation with the enemy.
