The Russians are trying to concentrate their main efforts on the Bakhmut area. They are making every attempt to surround and capture the town. Therefore, the task of the Ukrainian military is to exhaust the enemy and inflict the greatest losses on them, said the commander of the Land Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyy.

"During my stay in the troops, together with the commanders, we agree on plans that will have a real result not on the map but on the battlefield. When the enemy outnumbers us, it is a matter of honour for me to stand side by side with my soldiers," he wrote on Telegram.

Syrskyy noted that thanks to the heroism and professionalism of our military, they are holding the Bakhmut fortress despite various timelines and forecasts.

"Knowing the enemy and yourself opens the way to victory. So, we carefully study their vulnerabilities to use our forces as effectively as possible. A successful strategy is always about the ability to turn any situation to your advantage. Today, our main task is to deplete the enemy's superior forces and inflict heavy losses on them. This will help create the necessary conditions that will facilitate the liberation of Ukrainian land and accelerate our victory," added the Land Forces Commander.

Bakhmut and its environs remain the focus of the occupiers' attacks in the Eastern Operational Zone. It is there that the enemy is concentrating its main efforts. Earlier, the spokesman for the Eastern Group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Serhiy Cherevatyy, said that the defence forces had managed to stabilise the situation around Bakhmut. The number of enemy assaults has decreased, but there is a possibility that the Russians are manoeuvring their reserves.
