The secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, Oleksiy Danilov, has called for an end to constant attempts to "seat" Ukraine at the negotiating table with Russia and said that Ukraine should be given enough weapons instead.
"When the goal of the Russian aggressor remains unchanged – the destruction of Ukraine – the initiatives for a peaceful settlement that have been voiced recently are nothing more than pro-Russian peacekeeping," Danilov said on Facebook.
He called on the allies to provide Ukraine with the weapons it needs to fight the Russian invaders.
"Don't keep bringing us to the negotiating table, give us enough weapons. Weapons are the best mediator and the only argument for communication that Russia understands," he added.
Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron turned to China with a plan that, in his opinion, could potentially lead to negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.
