Zelenskyy slaps sanctions on 40 individuals, almost 400 legal entities

Sanctions were also imposed on citizens of Switzerland, Iran and Mali.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has enacted the National Security and Defence Council's decision to impose individual special economic and other restrictive measures on 40 individuals and 382 legal entities.

The relevant documents are published on the president's website.

Thus, according to Decree No. 235/2023, the president enacted the decision of the National Security and Defence Council of 22 April 2023 "On the application of individual special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)" against individuals - citizens of the Russian Federation, citizens of Switzerland, Iran and the Republic of Mali. The list includes 40 individuals in total.

The decree also imposed economic and other restrictive measures on 60 legal entities, including Limited Liability Company Aviakompaniya Dalnevostochnaya KSM, Rosbank Public Joint Stock Company, the so-called ministry of civil defence, emergencies and disaster management of the DPR, and the Central Electoral Commission of the Russian Federation. The list also includes legal entities registered in France, Switzerland, Taiwan, Germany, and Armenia.

By his Decree No. 236/2023, the president enacted a decision to impose targeted sanctions on 322 Russian legal entities, including the joint-stock company Research and Production Corporation Space Monitoring Systems, Information Control and Electromechanical Complexes and the state unitary enterprise Rostov-on-Don Radio Communications Research Institute.

On 15 April, the president enacted the National Security and Defence Council's decision to impose individual special economic and other restrictive measures on 438 individuals and 254 legal entities.
