A special commission has completed an inspection of all 4,655 shelters in Kyiv, and only 15% of them have been found suitable, Minister for Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin has said on Telegram.
"On 10 June, the commission completed the inspection of all 4,655 shelters in Kyiv. The results are disappointing. Less than half of the shelters - only 44% - were freely accessible. Another 21% are accessible within 5 minutes, usually by first responders who open the shelter in case of an alarm. Only 15% are suitable without significant reservations. Another 50% are technically suitable, but they need to be put in order," he explained.
Over the weekend, the commission will work on compiling the data and preparing a report, Kamyshin said.
