At least five people killed, 13 missing after Russia blows up Kakhovka dam - Interior Ministry

At least five people have been reported dead and 13 missing as a result of the flooding caused by the Russians blowing up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko has said.

In Kherson Region, 48 settlements are actually flooded, including: 34 (3,625 houses) - on the territory controlled by Ukraine, 14 - on the temporarily occupied territory.

Some 2,412 people have been evacuated, four people died, 11 people were injured as a result of shelling during the evacuation, and 13 people are still missing.

In Mykolayiv Region, 23 settlements were flooded, 825 people were evacuated, and one person died.
