Over the day, Russia has launched eight missile attacks and 58 air strikes on Ukraine and fired 31 times from multiple launch rocket systems, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in its evening update.
According to the updated information, between 00.00 am and 04.20 am, Russia attacked Ukraine with Iranian Shahed strike UAVs and Kh-101/Kh-555 air-launched cruise missiles, targeting military facilities and critical infrastructure.
The Ukrainian military destroyed four out of seven Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles, four out of 10 Shahed and Lancet strike UAVs and four operational and tactical UAVs (Orlan-10 and Supercam).
In total, during the day, the Russians launched eight missile attacks on civilian buildings in Zvyahel, Zhytomyr Region, and on the outskirts of Kharkiv.
Russians are focusing their main efforts on attempts to fully occupy Luhansk and Donetsk regions. There were 27 combat engagements over the day.
Meanwhile, Ukraine's aviation carried out 16 strikes on Russian personnel clusters and two strikes on anti-aircraft missile systems. Missile and artillery units struck four command posts, six clusters of manpower, weapons and military equipment, three ammunition depots and five artillery units at firing positions over the past day.
