In occupied areas of Kherson Region, the Russians are accommodating evacuees from flooded settlements in boarding houses and recreation centres where their military units are already stationed, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has said.

Thus, the occupying troops are trying to protect themselves by hiding behind civilians.

In Donbas, the Russians are focusing their main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Maryinka sectors, where heavy fighting continues. There were 26 combat engagements in the area over the last day.

Russia launched one missile attack and 27 air strikes, and fired about 30 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas.

Ukrainian aviation carried out 18 strikes on the clusters of Russian personnel and two on anti-aircraft missile systems. Missile and artillery units struck five command posts, six clusters of manpower, weapons and military equipment, two anti-aircraft missile systems, eight artillery units at firing positions and two other important enemy targets over the course of the day.
