All technical documents have been collected in the investigation about the causes of the helicopter crash in Brovary with the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The necessary examinations are being conducted. Before, versions about sabotage or an attempt on the lives of government officials were not confirmed, states Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin for an interview with Ukrinform.

He recalled that at the beginning of the investigation there have been several versions of the helicopter's crash: attempted murder of government officials, particularly sabotage, downing the helicopter; conflict on board; pilot error; technical disfunction of the vessel; improper organisation of flight planning; non-compliance with flight rules; difficult weather conditions.

"First, I can say that the versions related to sabotage or attempt on the lives of government officials have not been confirmed," the Prosecutor General noted.

The investigation into the circumstances of the plane crash is still ongoing. It is conducted by an interdepartmental investigative group consisting of experts from the State Bureau of Investigation and the Security Service. The Office of the Prosecutor General carries out procedural management.

Representatives of the helicopter manufacturer — specialists of the Airbus Helicopters company — were involved in the work. Specialists from the Ministry of Defence, the National Police and the National Guard of Ukraine also joined them.

Thanks to the help of French partners from the Airbus company, the information of the flight recorders were decoded. Based on the collected data, a 3D simulation of the helicopter flight was carried out.

"We will announce the final conclusions based on the results of the pre-trial investigation soon," Kostin said.

On 18 January, a helicopter crashed in Brovary, and as a result of the disaster the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Minister Denys Monastyrskyy, State Secretary of the Ministry Yuriy Lubkovich and First Deputy Minister Yevgeny Yenin - have died.

Then 14 people died, including one child. 25 were injured, 11 of them children.

In March, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that three main versions of the plane crash remain the same: violation of flight rules, technical disfunction of the helicopter, and deliberate actions to destroy the helicopter.

After this plane crash, the Ministry of Internal Affairs banned all senior officials from using helicopters and airplanes during martial law.
