The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has confirmed the destruction of four Russian Il-56 aircraft during a drone attack on the Russian city of Pskov. Two more planes may be damaged, UP writes, citing the words of DIU representative Andriy Yusov and an anonymous source in the department.

The source reminded the journalists that the intelligence is conducting a set of activities as part of a special operation in Crimea and beyond. The source said that the DIU and other components of the Defence Forces were behind the attack.

"Four aircraft were destroyed and cannot be restored. Supposedly, two more were damaged, the information is being clarified," Yusov said.

The nighttime drone attack on Russian military targets is being called the largest from the beginning of the war. The biggest hit was on an airport in Pskov, 700 kilometers from Ukraine.

In Bryansk, local authorities claimed to have shot down three drones, but at the same time, Russia's largest microelectronics manufacturer caught fire. It was also reported that an administrative building caught fire due to a drone crash. In the morning, the attack continued, with the governor of the region announcing another drone shot down over Bryansk.

Explosions were also reported in Tula and Ryazan. Sobyanin reported one downed drone heading toward Moscow, while the Russian Defence Ministry claimed that drones were shot down in Orel and Kaluga regions.

In addition, drones attacked occupied Sevastopol - explosions were heard in the area of Sevastopol Bay.
