The names and circumstances of the deaths are not disclosed for security reasons.

Six pilots from the 18th Separate Brigade of the Igor Sikorskyy Army Aviation were killed on 29 August in the Bakhmut direction, reported the brigade's spokesman Yevhen Rakita in a comment to Suspilne.

The pilots were killed while performing a combat mission.

The deceased officers were from different Ukrainian regions, one is reported to be from Poltava Region. 

It is planned that on 1 September at 10:00 a.m., the family will say goodbye to the victims at the Holy Dormition Cathedral in Poltava.

For now, the names and circumstances of the deaths are not being disclosed for security reasons, said Rakita. 

On 25 August, a plane crash occurred in Zhytomyr Region: the crews of two L-39 combat trainer aircraft collided in the sky while performing a combat mission. Three pilots died.
