Defence forces continue their offensive in the Bakhmut and Melitopol sectors. In the Melitopol sector, the defenders inflict significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupiers, force the Russians to withdraw from their positions.
As a result of the assault, the defenders have partial success in the area of Robotyne, Zaporizhzhya Region. Andriy Kovalyov, spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said this during a telethon.
"In the Bakhmut sector, the Defence Forces are conducting offensive operations south of the city of Bakhmut. They had partial success in the area of Klishchiyivka, Donetsk Region," he said.
Russians are suffering significant losses.
In the Bakhmut sector, the Ukrainian army also continues to hold back the Russian offensive. The occupants conducted unsuccessful offensives in the area of Orikhovo-Vasylivka.
The Russian offensive continues at the Avdiyivka and Maryinka directions, where Russians made more than 20 unsuccessful attempts to displace the Ukrainians over the past day. Russian offensives were also unsuccessful near Novomykhailivka (Donetsk Region) and south of Novodarivka (Zaporizhzhya Region).
At the Lyman and Kupiansk directions, Russian invaders continue to shell Ukrainian positions.
The enemy launched seven missile and 35 air strikes, fired over 56 times from multiple launch rocket systems at both the positions of our troops and civilian objects in Ukraine.
