On the night of 8 October, Russia attacked Kherson Region.

"Kherson region experienced another terrible night. Dozens of wounded, including a child. The enemy repeatedly shelled the city and settlements on the right bank. Residential neighbourhoods were under fire. Houses, cars, and gas distribution networks were damaged. Some shells did not explode, they were eliminated by rescuers," the head of the Kherson regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, said.

It is known that 11 residents were injured. A 27-year-old woman and her 9-month-old daughter were hospitalised in moderate condition.

"Among the injured is a 33-year-old Red Cross medic. He has an explosive injury and contusion. The man was hospitalised. Several Kherson residents suffered an acute stress reaction and had to be taken to hospital. These are two couples – a husband, 67, and a wife, 63, as well as a husband, 56 and a wife, 54. As well as two women aged 87 and 62," Prokudin said.

The medics also treated men aged 24 and 34.

In addition, Russians shelled the city of Stanislav. The consequences of the attack with Grad MLRS are being investigated.
