The death of another Ukrainian in Israel as a result of a Hamas attack has been confirmed. This was reported by the spokesman for the foreign ministry Oleh Nikolenko.

"Unfortunately, the information about the death of another Ukrainian has been confirmed. Thus, the total number of victims among Ukrainian citizens is three. Nine more were injured. Their condition and places of hospitalisation are being clarified," Nikolenko wrote.

According to him, the operational headquarters of foreign ministry has already processed more than 1,000 appeals from Ukrainians in Israel and the Gaza.

In particular, a Ukrainian boy who was rescued in Sderot is recovering from a successful operation. He is under the care of the Embassy and is being provided with all the necessary medical and psychological assistance.

Oleg Nikolenko also said that six more Ukrainians are considered missing. Diplomats are searching for them in cooperation with Israeli law enforcement.

Currently, about 700 Ukrainians cannot leave Israel because of canceled flights. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Office of the President, and the Embassy in Israel are working 24/7 to organise the return of our people. Details will be additionally communicated to citizens who have already contacted the Ukrainian embassy.

In addition, 170 Ukrainians have expressed their desire to evacuate from Gaza. The operational headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ukrainian embassies in the region, and other Ukrainian agencies involved are working on possible ways to leave. At the same time, the situation is complicated by ongoing hostilities.
