The Russian army attacked Pokrovsk, Donetsk Region. According to preliminary reports, one person was killed and 13 others were injured.
Two administrative buildings were damaged, the Interior Ministry has said.
"According to preliminary information, Russia attacked the city with two missiles from an Iskander-M [mobile short-range ballistic missile system]," it added.
The Prosecutor-General's Office clarified that the Russians struck in the very centre of the city. Among the wounded are visitors to a government agency and its employees.
"According to the investigation, on 13 October 2023, at 08:30, the occupiers fired on the centre of Pokrovsk," the prosecutor's office said.
In August, Russia also hit the centre of Pokrovsk with missiles twice, the second time during a rescue operation. Rescuers came under fire. One of them, Col Vitaliy Kints, died. In addition, nine other people were killed and over 80 were wounded.
