Today, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy chaired a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff.
Three key issues were discussed at the meeting.
The first was the frontline. Reports from the commander-in-chief and other commanders. The situation in the main directions - east and south. Defence of positions, steps forward.
The second is the Ukrainian production of weapons and equipment, the constant increase in volumes.
The Ministry of Strategic Industries has been given a clear task to present a programme to provide Ukrainian weapons for all key needs - from missiles and drones to armoured vehicles and shells. There have already been reports on some elements of this programme. According to the president, the results are good and will be more significant.
Deputy Prime Minister Mykhaylo Fedorov and Defence Minister Rustem Umerov were given a separate order to maximise the digitalisation of supplies for the defence forces. According to the president, the priority is full accountability and control. There are also clear deadlines for implementation.
The third item was the situation in the Middle East. The meeting heard a comprehensive analysis from the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Oleksandr Lytvynenko.
The president noted that the country takes into account all factors, cares about the interests of its citizens in the region and works with partners to prevent wider destabilisation.
