As Energy Ministry reports, two buildings of the Khmelnytskyy Nuclear Power Plant were damaged in a Russian attack on the night of 25 October. As a result, 1,800 consumers in Netishyn and Slavuta lost electricity.
"At night, the enemy attacked the territory near the Khmelnytskyy NPP. The explosion damaged windows in the administrative and laboratory buildings. Due to the damage to power lines, 1,860 consumers in the cities of Slavuta and Netishyn, Khmelnytskyy Region, were cut off from electricity," the statement said.
In addition, nine settlements in Donetsk Region were cut off from electricity due to shelling. Some consumers in Zaporizhzhya, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv Regions are also without power as a result of the fighting.
In Kherson, 1,200 consumers remain without power after the flood.
As a result of technological disruptions, consumers in Kirovohrad Region were temporarily cut off from electricity supply yesterday, and there are also consumers in Chernihiv and Kyiv Regions without power.
Due to unfavourable weather conditions, 6,600 consumers in Khmelnytskyy Region and 11,100 in Lviv Region were cut off from electricity supply.
