President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has met Danish Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen, according to the president's website.
The key issue was the strengthening of Ukrainian skies with modern fighters and new air defence systems. Zelenskyy and Poulsen discussed cooperation within the aviation coalition and the training of Ukrainian pilots on F-16 aircraft, which Denmark and partners are preparing to transfer to Ukraine.
They also discussed Denmark's patronage of the restoration of Mykolayiv and Copenhagen's support for Ukraine's path to the European Union.
The parties also noted the adoption of the Joint Declaration of Support for Ukraine by the Group of Seven at the NATO Summit in Vilnius and expressed readiness to start negotiations with the Nordic countries on appropriate security guarantees.
Zelenskyy decorated the Danish minister with the Order of Merit, First Class, and Secretary of State for Security Policy and Operations at the Danish Ministry of Defence Kasper Hoeg-Jensen with the Order of Merit, Third Class.
