Businessman Ihor Kolomoyskyy remains in custody, the Shevchenkivskyy district court of Kyiv has made the decision, Suspilne reports.

The measure of restraint was left unchanged. Prior to that, Kolomoyskyy's lawyers wanted the detention replaced with round-the-clock house arrest.

The defence also claimed that the suspect's health had deteriorated in the detention centre. Therefore, the court ordered medical care and treatment be arranged for the tycoon.

Earlier this month, the Kyiv court of appeal dismissed the appeal filed by Kolomoyskyy's lawyers, who requested that his bail of UAH 3.9bn be cancelled.

Meanwhile, on 25 October, the Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal will consider the appeal filed by the government, the NBU, the Ministry of Finance and PrivatBank against the decision of the Kyiv District Administrative Court on Kolomoyskyy's lawsuit challenging the nationalisation of PrivatBank. The tycoon is once again trying to cancel the nationalisation of the bank.
