At first, Russians abducted Ukrainian children from the temporarily occupied Crimea, then this criminal practice continued in other occupied territories. This was stated at the opening of the second parliamentary summit of the International Crimean Platform by the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Czech Republic, Marketa Pekarova Adamova, Ukrinform reports.
According to her, the Russians illegally took about 4,000 Ukrainian children from Crimea to either Russia or Belarus. It is currently unknown where they are.
"The children were taken away from their families, and it was for this crime that Vladimir Putin was indicted by the International Criminal Court. This is a clear signal that international circles can play an active role in the process of overcoming aggression," said Marketa Pekarova Adamova.
