From May 2022 to October 2023, the Armed Forces of Ukraine and volunteers remain the most trusted institutions, according to the findings of a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).

Thus, 94% of Ukrainians currently trust the Armed Forces of Ukraine (98% in May 2022), and 87% trust volunteers (87% in May 2022).

Over this period, trust in central government institutions has gone down:

In the president - from 91% to 76%,

the government - from 74% to 39%,

parliament - from 58% to 21%.

Trust in local authorities has not changed: as in May 2022, 50% of respondents currently trust them, while 46% do not trust them.

In addition, from May 2022 to October 2023, there was a decrease in trust in the United News telethon. Although the telethon maintains a positive balance of trust and distrust, the number of those who trust it has decreased from 69% to 48% (and the number of those who distrust it has increased from 12% to 39%).

At the same time, in all regions, the vast majority of people trust the Armed Forces, volunteers, and the president. Trust in other institutions is also roughly the same.

As reported earlier, the majority of Ukrainians support holding elections after the end of the war.

According to the poll, the Armed Forces of Ukraine also ranked first in terms of trust among the institutions of society, with 73% of Ukrainians trusting them. At the same time, the majority of respondents express distrust in political parties (74% do not trust them), the state apparatus (officials) (72%), courts (the judicial system in general) (70%), the Verkhovna Rada (64%), the prosecutor's office (61%), the government (60%), commercial banks (59%), the National Anticorruption Bureau (53%), the Specialised Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office (52%), and the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (52%).
