On Wednesday, 1 November, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 360 Russians and 40 pieces of military equipment, including an enemy Su-25 aircraft, in the Tavriya sector.
This was stated by Oleksandr Stupun, spokesman for the joint press centre of the Tavriya Defence Forces.
According to him, the number of attacks near Avdiyivka has slightly decreased. In total, the enemy carried out 14 air strikes in the Tavriya sector, engaged in 30 combat clashes and fired 959 times.
"Another Su-25 attack aircraft was shot down in Donetsk Region. The enemy continues to try to encircle Avdiyivka, but not so actively at the moment, it has to replenish its losses and regroup to be able to act further," said Stupun.
He added that the occupants were unsuccessfully advancing in the areas of Severne and Pervomayske, where seven enemy attacks were repelled over the last day.
In the area of Maryinka, the Russians tried to advance, and the Armed Forces repelled more than 20 attacks over the last day. In the Shakhtarsk sector, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operation
s near Staromayorske. The Defence Forces' offensive in the Melitopol sector continues.
Ukrainian artillerymen carried out 1,068 firing missions over the last day. Total enemy casualties amounted to 360 people, and 40 pieces of military equipment were destroyed, including 6 tanks, 11 armoured personnel carriers and other vehicles. In addition, the enemy's Zoopark-1 reconnaissance radar complex was damaged.
