Russian troops launched a massive attack on Kherson, the head of the Kherson city military administration, Roman Mrochko, has said.
As of 18.15, a man was reported killed on the spot in the city's Korabelnyy district during the shelling, and a woman was wounded near a petrol station. She is currently in hospital, her condition is moderate.
Then the city centre came under Russian fire. Three more victims were reported. Multi-storey and cottage houses in the city's Tsentralnyy and Dniprovskyy districts were damaged.
Mrochko also said that a 75-year-old woman was killed.
On the evening of 16 November, Russians began an intensive attack on Kherson from the left bank of the Dnipro river.
They also attacked the village of Bilozirka in Kherson Region, killing a man and injuring five other people.
