British Foreign Secretary David Cameron has announced the allocation of financial assistance to Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.
According to the UK Government's website, Cameron visited Odesa on the second day of his visit to Ukraine and inspected the work of the ports.
He emphasised support, in particular, for Ukrainians affected by the Russian invasion and evacuating from the frontline areas.
Thus, the Ukrainian Red Cross Society will receive £10 million for medical supplies and support for the service.
Seven million pounds will be donated to the international consortium Nonviolent Peaceforce, which supports volunteer organisations providing humanitarian aid in dangerous places on the frontline, and £1.4 million will be allocated to Mercy Corps in Ukraine.
Cameron was appointed British Foreign Secretary on 13 November. He immediately arrived in Ukraine where he held meetings with the country's leadership.
