Russia increased infantry activity in the Tavriya sector, where 55 combat engagements alone took place over the day, the commander of the Tavriya Operational and Tactical Group of Forces, Gen Oleksandr Tarnavskyy, has said.

"The occupiers' infantry activity in the Tavriya Operational and Tactical Group of Forces increased again - 55 combat engagements took place. The enemy lost 440 troops and nine pieces of military equipment over the last day. About a dozen occupiers surrendered. The activity of enemy aircraft is low - five air strikes were recorded over the last day. At night, the enemy dropped guided air bombs in Donetsk Region," Tarnavskyy wrote.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 25 Russian attacks in the areas of Stepove, Pervomayske, Avdiyivka, Siverske, south of Tonenke and east of Novobakhmutivka, 11 attacks in the areas of Maryinka and Novomykhaylivka.

Russia conducted three unsuccessful assaults in the areas southeast of Vuhledar and west of Staromayorsk in the Shakhtarsk sector.

In the Zaporizhzhya sector, the Russians unsuccessfully tried 12 times to regain their lost ground in the areas south of Robotyne and west of Verbove.

According to Vitaliy Barabash, head of Avdiyivka's city military administration, the most difficult areas remain the area around Stepove, the coke plant and the Avdiyivka industrial zone. In addition, the Avdiyivka Coke Plant has become like Azovstal in Mariupol for the Russians who are attacking it with all kinds of weapons.
