During his speech at Diia Summit 2023, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Diia app would become one of the services that will help rebuild Ukraine. This was reported by the President's press service.
“Diia is truly an integral part of our lives, a social tool. And not just a set of certain digital public services in a smartphone. It has a deeper meaning. Diia is a tool that helps a person put the state under their control. To a specific citizen. Minus officials. Minus bureaucracy. Minus any discomfort. On the plus side, there are advantages. And they are important. Plus, there is a benefit - a very specific benefit for a person," the President said.
The Head of State noted that there are currently 20 million Diia users. Today, Diia already includes 14 digital documents in a smartphone and more than 130 online services: "From the world's first digital passport to construction services and all-Ukrainian surveys."
Diia now offers services for internally displaced persons, the eHouse programme, the eRestoration programme, the purchase of military bonds, and the eEnemy programme, which allow everyone to help the Defence and Security Forces of Ukraine. Unemployment benefits, deposit refunds, extracts from state registers and even a car sharing service.
"Each of the more than 130 online services in Diia means that more than 130 opportunities to take a bribe have been removed. And this positive effect is measured in billions," the President said.
The President noted that Diia would become one of the services that will help rebuild Ukraine. The first digital reconstruction service was launched in March 2022. And more than half a million Ukrainians have already reported damaged property.
According to him, almost a billion hryvnyas will be paid to families this year to restore war-damaged property.
"The second stage of the eRestoration programme is the restoration of property that has been destroyed. Everything starts with an application and ends with the issuance of a certificate - a housing certificate. Its average size is currently UAH 2 million. And this is the service we are launching now. The exchange of a certificate in Diia for housing. Now it will work online. This week is the launch week. And then the service will be scaled up," Zelenskyy said.
The Head of State also said that the online service for buying and selling cars in Diia would be launched at midnight tonight. In just 15 minutes, you will be able to buy or sell a car via your smartphone and receive a new registration certificate and number plates by mail.
For his part, the head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Mykhaylo Fedorov, said that the Diia Summit presented:
- re-registration of cars in Diia without visiting a service centre of the Interior Ministry,
- e-Entrepreneur - 8 services for business with 1 online application,
- automatic changes to the sole proprietorship without human intervention and expectations,
- services for seafarers without paperwork and bribes.
