In the Avdiyivka sector, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the Russians, who keep trying to encircle Avdiyivka. They repelled 11 Russian attacks in the Avdiyivka area and another 13 attacks in the area of Severne, south of Tonenke, Pervomayske and Nevelske in Donetsk Region. General Staff spokesman Andriy Kovalyov said this during a telethon.
"In the Mariyinka sector, the Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the area of Novomykhaylivka in Donetsk Region, where our defenders repelled 13 enemy attacks," he said.
In the Zaporizhzhya sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 17 attacks in the areas west of Verbove and Robotyne. At the same time, in the Melitopol sector, the Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to inflict losses on the occupants.
In the Kupyansk sector, the defenders repelled five enemy attacks in the vicinity of Synkivka and east of Petropavlivka, where the occupants tried to break through the defences of our troops. In the Liman sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 10 enemy attacks in the vicinity of Makiyivka in Luhansk Region, east of Terny and Spirne in Donetsk Region.
In the Bakhmut sector, the defenders repelled 21 enemy attacks in the areas of Bohdanivka, Klishchiyivka and Andriyivka. Defence forces continue to inflict losses on the enemy.
Over the past day, 105 combat engagements took place, the enemy launched one missile and six air strikes, and fired 62 times from multiple launch rocket systems.
