The Italian government has decided to extend its military support for Ukraine for another year. This is stated on the website of the Italian Defence Ministry.
Italy plans to continue supplying weapons, vehicles and logistics to Ukraine in 2024.
"Italy once again chooses to stand by the freedom of nations and respect for international law in order to achieve a just and lasting peace, in line with the position taken by NATO and EU allies," said Defence Minister Guido Crozetto.
The government's decision must now be approved by the Italian parliament.
