Several districts in Vinnytsya Region lost power suppky due to an accident at the Ladyzhyn TPP, which is a structural unit of DTEK Zakhidenergo, Vinnytsyaoblenergo [the post appears to have been removed later] has said.
"This accident is not related to enemy attacks. Therefore, we ask you not to spread panic," the company noted.
At 15:30, DTEK reported that power supply to all consumers was promptly restored.
Ladyzhyn TPP continues to operate and support the grid with its balancing capacities.
The Ladyzhyn TPP was built in the 1970s. Since 2012, it has been a structural unit of DTEK Zakhidenergo. The plant has six power units with a capacity of 300 MW each, which use thermal coal as the main fuel, with fuel oil as a backup and emergency fuel.
