On the night of 20 December 2023, Russia attacked Ukraine with Shahed attack UAVs from occupied Crimea.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the areas where the drones were launched were Cape Chauda and Balaklava.
A total of 19 Shaheds were launched, 18 of which were destroyed by the Air Force and the Defence Forces of Ukraine in Odesa, Kherson, Dnipro, Vinnytsya, Khmelnytskyy, Kyiv, Chernihiv and Kirovohrad Regions.
In addition, the Russians fired two anti-aircraft guided missiles from S-300 air defence systems from Belgorod region of the Russian Federation at Kharkiv Region. There were no casualties.
