The Ukrainian Armed Forces have hit a command post of the Russian occupying troops near Sevastopol, Crimea, the Strategic Communications Department has said.

The target was attacked at around 3 p.m. on 4 January.

Shortly before that, Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk sent his "greetings" to the occupiers in Crimea, saying he was expecting "an equally epic report from Sevastopol and Yevpatoriya on 4 January" from the Russian propaganda.

He shared a post by the Krymskyy Veter (Crimean Wind) Telegram channel, saying there was an impact at a Russian military unit near Uyutne outside Yevpatoriya.

Oleshchuk also thanked the Air Force pilots and all those who planned the operation for their "impeccable combat work".

Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Ukrainian military intelligence, commented on the explosions in Crimea on the air of the news telethon.

"We can say that this is happening online now. The point is that the Ukrainian defence and security forces continue to work, and when there is an opportunity to make public the results and share them, if it is appropriate, it will be done," Yusov said.
